Day 2: Dahilayan Adventure Park, Bukidnon

Day 2 is another fun day. Some of us woke up early to jog, to cook for  breakfast, to watch tv and in my case I went to the balcony to see the sunrise.

The place was slightly foggy, the presence of the sunrise made it more amazing. A very wonderful place indeed.

The house has it's own gazebo too, we all decided to eat our breakfast there. It's a perfect place to feast our meals. Eating while surrounded with nature is truly a rare kind of experience.

After breakfast we went to Dahilayan Adventure Park, it's just several steps away from the place we're at. You can test your endurance on the adventures this park has to offer. Bring with you enough cash or even credit card (yes, they will accept credit cards) to enjoy the rides.

The road going to the park is not fully developed so expect a dusty and a bit rocky road but need not worry coz along the way you'll be amazed by a vast plantation of pineapple and the scenery of the mountain.

We had headgear on just for this pic. Some of us already tried the zipline before, we're just there waiting for those who haven't tried.

Horse riding was fun especially when you're with your friends. It was P100 worth of fun.

All set to go horseback riding. Yehey. Happiness. It's not everyday we'll experience this kind of ride.

After the ride, we still can't stop smiling.

It was indeed a memorable getaway for us. Looking forward to our next stop. We are aiming Surigao or Palawan. Crossing our toes and fingers that our time and money will surely allow us to bring our restless feet there.

Relaxing Getaway

With our kind of job (call center agents), FREE TIME is a luxury and getting it is one helluva challenge. After one tough schedule swapping we were able to materialize Mar 7-8, 2012 as our FREE DAYS. We spent an overnight stay at this very nice place somewhere in Dahilayan, Bukidnon. It's  more or less a 2 hour drive from Cagayan de Oro City.

We rented this whole house for P3,000 overnight. A two storey house, made of 90% wood. The place is so nice and clean. Complete with our basic needs - kitchen, comfort/bath room, dining area, sala, bedroom, television set and even a fireplace. Yes, there's a fireplace coz believe me the place is soooo cold.

Can't help but take a pic of the surrounding. Look at that pic, everywhere is green. Looking at the window can give you liberty to look as far as you can. What a very relaxing place to stay away for a while from the noise of city life and stress at work.

In front of the house is this well. The water from it supplies the house's pool.

The pool is still empty when we arrived but after a while it was already filled with water from the well nearby.

Look at our smile, it's a picture of happiness after seeing the amazing place.

This room is upstairs. This was where we slept, yeah all 12 of us slept here. They were watching TV while this pic was taken. This was supposed to be a stolen shot but someone was cheating. LOL.

We had a short walk within the place and we can't help but pose with those flowers in the back ground. Nice flowers!.. but in front standing are thorns in different colors.

You might be wondering why I posted anything like that (refer to the words in Bold italic lines above and below) allow me to share a brief story why it's there. I was drafting this post at work and I left my computer open, my team captain TC Joey took over and typed those. I was laughing out loud after reading it. He's super kaloka. I then decided to include his additional captions to add a little bit of fun in this post. So there.

I was trying to capture the sunset on this pic above but this is the best that I could have. I'm loving the presence of that house in this picture... suddenly, I realized the house was actually floating.. Oh my, Ondoy is coming! (but then again my TC made his own caption that left me laughing my ass off here)

 I love to do this more often. It feels so good  to chill out once in a while especially when the place is a sanctuary of relaxation.

Her wish

Its been my dream to fulfill my dearest aunt's wish. To grant such wish is heaven. My aunt whom I fondly call Mommy wanted to ride a plane and at the same time wanted to go to Manila to visit some of our relatives and my sister who's working there.

So when an opportunity knocked I booked a flight for the two of us. We boarded Cebu Pacific Air last Feb 9, 2012. I could feel Mommy's excitement for this trip. She's such a joy to watch. I love her so very much. Here she is ready to experience her very first plane ride

Upon landing Manila we went straight to the hotel and after a few while we had church visit.

First stop is Quiapo church. Mommy with my Sister Mar.

 At Manila Cathedral. It was closed during our visit, so a glimpse of it and some pose with it as a background would then be enough.

There was another church we visited not far from Manila Cathedral but don't have a picture of it. We also went to Baclaran church and no picture of it also. hehe

Church visit was the highlight of our first day in Manila. The following day Feb 10, 2012 we went to Manila Ocean Park.

Our first stop is at the Oceanarium where you can see fishes in different kinds and sizes inside a big aquarium.

Take a look at these sharks. They are just a sight to behold.

Then we tried their famous fish spa. Those little fishes were just too cute to look at.

Our last stop was to feel the winter chill in Trails to Antarctica. It was so damn cold inside we only lasted less than 5 minutes. Literally, we just get in to take pictures. LOL.

It was a super fun day and it was even special coz I saw how happy Mommy was.

Manila Ocean Park: Fish Spa

I was with my dearest aunt and with my younger sister in Manila last Feb 9 - 12, 2012. So we took time to visit Manila Ocean Park. I discovered the tickling and cleansing sensation of the little fishes for P120 within 20 minutes.

These fishes cleaned our feet. It was much fun!!

Fish spa experience is one of the best activities there. I sooo love it. The moment your feet touch water, the fish immediately swarm your feet and start nibbling and it is ticklish at first but it's so relaxing.

Enchanted Kingdom: A date with my sister

My sister's currently working in Manila since June 2011. After 5 months, I visited her and we spent a whole day at Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna - the home of magical experiences.

We took the bus from Pasay bound to Balibago for only P57 each. We stopped at Waltermart in Laguna, then from there we had a motorcyle ride  to Enchanted Kingdom for 10 pesos each person.

Upon arriving, this scenario welcomed us.

A school tour for like more than a hundred grade schoolers and high school students not counting their chaperones.

At the entrance, make sure you read the park bulletins. So that you know what time your favorite ride or attraction will open.

There are different prices for the package that you want. You can choose of either going for the ride all you can ticket or just for specific rides. For us, we had the ride all you can so we can enjoy all the rides EK has to offer!

It's my second time to be there, my excitement was not for the rides but for my sister to experience that same excitement I had during my first time there. Join me as I lead you to my enchanting date with my dear sister.

One of the scariest rides in Enchanted Kingdom is the Anchors away. When you ride it, it's as if  your liver and heart will switch places. It's like you’ll fall down especially when you are seated on the last row.

The secret of conquering Anchors Away is to “let go” and scream your lungs out.  I already swore I will never ever ride this again. LOL.  Screaming was not enough, my knees were literally trembling.

The next ride is the most feared ride of them all. Some people don’t imagine riding this.. some even say I-think- I’ll-die-now by just looking at it! Meet SPACE SHUTTLE!

I took this pic when I was on top of the mega wheel.

It was my first time to ride the Space Shuttle because it was under repair during my first visit last 2009. I was really scared, I mean scared in every sense of the word. But my sister has so much adventure in her bones, she really convinced me to try it. So I did. And that's when I found out that the Space Shuttle is a super fun ride- A MUST TRY. I will surely try it again.

I suggest that you ride the ‘wet rides” – Jungle log jam and Rio Grande Rapids last. So that it won’t spoil your day.  I knew that the "wet rides" should be the last because I knew what will happen and was already prepared for this warning.

But before enjoying the Rio Grande Rapids we went the Jungle Log Jam first.

Before the ride, we had to brave this long line first (see picture below). I didn't mind though coz I really want my sister to experience it. I had a mission also that the next time I'll try Log Jam I'm gonna have a big smile on my face once passing that breathtaking slope. Mission accomplished for me but I dont want to share our picture coz my sister had the weirdest reaction on it. LOL.

Take a look at this line---supeeeeer long naman, but log jam ride is so worth the long wait.

Now it's our turn to ride. Whew.
